‘TRUST THE STORM explores mis/disinformation, performance as politics, and the politics of rage and division. Visually, I was inspired by the colours of flags being referenced in nationalist propaganda - red, white, and blue being used in America, the UK, and here in Australia, where the Trump method is attempting to take root - and the look of propaganda from past regimes. An element of absurdity features. The Trump series is the cauldron that has bubbled into the works that focus on the individual. Showcasing anonymous portraits that the viewer can project themselves into, as we navigate this time of great change.'
